Welcome to From the Desk of Charon. This space is where I will share my thoughts, experiences, and lessons from a career spent at the intersection of public affairs, policy, and community impact.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of serving in roles that pushed me to think differently about leadership, equity, and the power of communication. From advancing financial empowerment at the Office of the Rhode Island General Treasurer, to shaping workforce strategy, and now leading public affairs for the Rhode Island Cannabis Control Commission, one truth has always guided me: lasting change comes from connecting people, policy, and purpose.

This space will be a place for reflection and insight. Some posts will highlight trends in public affairs and legislation. Others will share lessons I have learned along the way about leadership, advocacy, and building meaningful partnerships. My hope is that it will spark conversation, provide perspective, and maybe even offer encouragement to others navigating their own leadership journeys.
